It is better to use a metal heatsink?
The answer is no.
We recommend to use the DL200 HD module
with the original rubber heatsink.
Why?
The answer is simple. Heat transfer or heat dissipation.
When you use the original rubber heatsink, the
rubber block is cut in a way that fits exactly inside the receiver and touches
both, the main chip of the DL200 HD board and the cover of the receiver. This
turns the whole cover of your receiver into a heatsink. As you may know the
more area of contact the more efficiently the heat will dissipate. Since the
rubber block contacts the cover of the box, the heat will have a big area to
dissipate across, keeping your receiver nice and cool.
With a metallic heatsink, the only surface that
is in contact with the DL200 is the face of the heatsink. The amount of heat dissipated
is very small because the only way the heat is released in the ambient is by the
air that circulates through the heatsink. Most people know that the air is a
bad heat conductor. If you do not have a fan running close by to force the air
through the heatsink, the heat transference will be very poor.
The rubber heatsink is proven scientifically to
remove more heat from the chip set and in a more efficient way.
Dreamlink Korea the manufacturer knows this and
this is why they recommend it.
The product is 100% guarantied to work.
Recommendation to install:
Always check that the arrow on the board points to the back of the receiver and all the pins are in the correct place and fully inserted in the main board.
