Minolta Maxxum 7000 AF 35mm SLR Film Camera w/35-70mm Lens Student Photography


For your consideration is a vintage "Maxxum 7000 AF" Model 35mm SLR Film Camera, by MINOLTA, Made in Japan. SN: 17208707. This film camera uses 35mm film and accepts the Minolta AF (Auto/Manual) mount 35mm SLR lenses.

This camera is very clean and in very good cosmetic condition overall with light wear noted.

Battery compartment is clean and corrosion-free and batteries are not included. Battery type is (4x) 'AA' or equivalent.

I installed fresh batteries into the camera and the shutter button fires at various speed and program settings although accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Shutter speeds sound right to the untrained ear. Film winder, counter, and self-timer is working. Flash hot-shoe is working. Viewfinder is clean. Light meter is working but accuracy cannot be verified. Mirror pad and light seals are in good original used condition. Camera operates in both manual focus and auto focus modes. No further testing was performed and additional maintenance or repairs may be required to have a fully functioning camera.

Lens is a Minolta AF Zoom f/3.5 (22) - 4.5 35-70mm, Made in Japan. SN: 59708014. Lens barrel is in very good condition with light wear noted. No haze, fog, fungus or scratches are present. Aperture appears to function normally. No oil on blades. Blades are fast and snappy. Focus is smooth in manual and auto modes. Lens filter size is 49mm. A vintage outer lens cap in good used condition is included.

An original Minolta nylon neck strap in very good used condition is also included as well as the original Minolta Owner's Manual in good used condition.

This is a nice 35mm SLR film camera that is an excellent choice for the student of photography.
