Efficient reflection of rearward sound.

Bells efficiently conduct physical force into a frequency of audible vibration that they are tuned to. Transversely a bell will only absorb the frequency they resonate at or are tuned to and reflect all others. Bronze can be shaped to have an inaudible frequency of resonance. Then coupled with the density of the material this will reflect all audible vibration without waste. When curve and focus is applied to the reflections then this phenomenon becomes a very useful tool in horn design. 

This feature is what makes the AP's so unique the horn is measured so that the sound from the front is accompanied by the rearward sound by the time you hear it. Curves eliminate standing waves and the highly efficient horn re-directs the rearward sound back to the main driver and out into the room. The horn is short enough to have both directions of sound from the same driver in time and phase together. This design allows the listener to hear all the source signal. A true Aural Pleasure!
