Description: 
This is a vintage / antique pair of 1949 Trifari clip on earrings.  I could not find the patent for the earrings but the patent that was eventually granted for the matching brooch was patent # 155,214 granted to Alfred Philippe for Trifari, Krussman & Fishel Inc. on Sept 13, 1949 (see last photo) so they would have been made around that same time.  A pair of of these "Snowflake" earrings were also shown on page 231 of Julia C Carroll's book "Collecting Costume Jewelry 202" 2nd edition.  They were also featured in Trifari's 1949 Advertisement "this Christmas every woman can have the thrill of Jewels by Trifari".  They are made up of baguette and small round rhinestones - all glue set into an golden toned metal. They would be great to add to your collection or to wear!

Size: They are approximately 7/8 of an inch tall and 7/8 of an inch wide
Markings: Signed "TRIFARI PAT PEND" with a crown over the "T" on the back of the clips
Closure: Clip on style earrings
Condition: The golden toned metal shows wear commensurate with their age and while all the rhinestones are present - some are obviously replacements.  But these are still highly collectible earrings!

Shipping / Combined Shipping:

I can combine shipping if you request an invoice BEFORE you pay for ANY of your items that you want combined shipping for.  You will only be charged the shipping amount for the heaviest item you purchased.

Purchases over $100.00 will be mailed insured and require signature for delivery.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
All international orders are shipped through Ebay's Global Shipping Program.  At this time they do NOT allow for combined shipping for international orders.  I never see the total amount they charge but if you check your payment and shipping area you should see the total there.

Returns:

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you can return it within 14 days of purchase.  Your satisfaction is very important to me!
