Joe - Funny Old Antique Vintage Merrythought Mohair Teddy Bear
Heidi Hi from Joe! He's a funny old fully woodwool stuffed unjointed Teddy Bear made by Merrythought and is called a Dutch Bear. He dates to the 1940's and is in nice condition. He retains both his original glass eyes (although one has chipped which isn't noticeable due to his mohair), original facial stitching and superb condition original rexine foot pads!
As I said, Joe is a funny old Ted, he stands around 18inches tall and is covered in two colours of mohair; blonde to his face, arms, feet and chest (one patch repair on his tum), and blue to his legs - and he has rather large hips ! Too many teddy cakes I suspect!, He has excellent mohair retention and really is rather cute.
Joe is a friendly bear, happily passing the time pottering in the garden waiting for his new owner.
He would make a delightful addition to a teddy hug and really perk up a room. x
