Rare sterling silver overlay over pottery vase. Unsigned, most likely Spahr or Vehyl. Measures 10" inches in height. Found at a local estate, it was completely tarnished black. Condition is excellent.Spahr founded his silver studio in 1937 and had to close again in 1940 due to war.He went missing in the war and was officially declare dead after the war.His widow restarted production approximately 1945/46.This vase didn't have "Spahr 1000"punch marked so possibly from later in the 1950ies when sticker replace the punch mark.This important information from message by gentlemen from Belgium.
