Description:  Please forgive the very poor photos, but this marvelous heavy old sterling spoon has been in my mother's family since it was made (one antique dealer said England 1807, and another told us Scotland 1805; but they both agreed that it was a genuine George III solid silver berry spoon).  Unfortunately, my kids don't want it, I'm the last in my mother's family, and I don't like berries; so we are offering it to you.  It is about 8.5" long, and the ribbed bowl is about 3.125" long x 1.75" wide x 0.375" deep, the handle is fully and ornately engraved on both sides.  There are 4 or 5 little boxes on the underside of the handle, containing logos which I assume identify the maker and date; they are: "WM"; either a roman numeral 3 (with the middle "I" being taller) or a castle with 3 turrets; what looks like the letter "U" or "V" made of branches with a goblet in the center; "Z"; and what looks sort of like a profile of George Washington.  If anyone out there in eBayland can help to identify it, please let us know.

PLEASE HELP:  If you happen to know the maker or the exact year of production, please write to let us know (thanks).

Please feel free to make an offer on any of my listings.

Please Note: As you may know, eBay now requires a shipping cost be entered when listing an item for international sale, and it is impossible to accurately do so without knowing the final destination. The price that I have entered is just a guess to cover the cost to anywhere in the world, and you will not be charged any more than that; however, if the actual shipping cost is less, then you will be issued a refund for the difference (we never add any extra for packaging or handling, so you will pay for the actual postage only).

Fine Print:  We invite questions, prefer PayPal (although we will accept all other forms of payment), ship USPS twice a week, and offer a full money back guarantee (less shipping, which we try to keep close to, or just below, the actual postal charges).  No, we're not a store, a dealer or even a collector; it's just time for us to get rid of some of this stuff.  Shipping will be combined whenever possible.  Thanks for your time.
