What's This?? The End of Diecast Car Collecting?? GET 'EM WHILE YOU CAN FOLKS, THE END IS IN SIGHT! The Mint's have produced no new 1/24 1/18 scale model's in several years, Dan-bary Mint (mis-spelled on purpose, so not to confuse search engines,) has had to scuttle all of their 2012 releases, and that was years ago. This due to the dollar value against the yen, effecting the labor/factory problems in China. They no longer produce diecast models for the world market. Sound familar ? The 1/24 / 1/18 diecast market as we knew it,  has become extinct! This is pushing up the demand for earlier releases from the Secondary Market, “Private Sellers”. who are selling off their collections of Cars in mint and unopened condition. These will be the first to go, and as this limited supply dwindles, prices will keep escalating. Each car removed from the secondary market reduces the available inventory, and there is nothing in the pipeline. Here's a quote from Dan-bary on Facebook: Earlier this year, our primary factory for die-cast replicas abruptly closed. Since then, we have been working to restart our die-cast business, essentially from scratch. This is a long and difficult process. We wish there was more encouraging information, but as of right now, we simply don't know when or whether we will be able to produce more cars. Thanks for your patience and understanding. ( This quote from 2014 )

Distributors like the Mints, Dan. & Frank. Mints, Hy- 61, American Musc., Sun Sta., Auto W., C. Quest, and many others, are either already out of business, or on their way! Without Production, there is No New Product. All Die-Cast models produced are production runs, "Limited Edition" and haven't been produced in years.

Get Them While You Can Folks, as Prices Will Continue to Increase!
