An adorable and collectible vintage Art Deco Charles Horner style staybright marcasite and diamante penguin brooch.  It is set with a red diamante stone as eye detail and as per all of these types of brooches there are no marcasites - just an illusion created by inverted marcasite shapes - a technique pioneered by Charles Horner - famous silversmith of the Art Deco Era.  It also retains a small amount of cold painted enamel.

It measures 2 inches or 5 cms fastens with a safety clasp

and is in  good clean vintage condition
