The goal of Bydand Instruments is to support the cigar box guitar revolution, striving to raise the awareness of this piece in musical history by bringing you these high quality instruments ‘dirt’ cheap. All Bydand Guitars are made entirely by hand to ensure each ones unique qualities. I use only the finest woods, resonator boxes, and as little adhesives as possible to produce and hold a solid tone. Not only are my guitars made to re-create that delta blues sound, but are made with the idea to be a work of art as well.

NO TWO ARE THE SAME. Each guitar made unique, beginning with only the box and plank of wood. The head stock is also made unique to resemble the box (or body). 

I make all of my guitars with the idea in mind that everyone out there is rough with their instruments as I am, either on the road or in the middle of an intense jam session. Therefore, when making them, I pay especial attention reinforcing the neck to make sure it can take a beating.  

Once the two are put together, the neck is then sanded down to resemble that like that of a "regular" guitar. The neck is smoothed out with 220 grit sand paper and 0000 steel wool for a unbelievably smooth, comfortable fit; so you can glide across those frets. 

The neck and the fret board are made from two separate pieces of wood (or more) for looks and strength; so you can rock hard! The diddly bows are made from reinforced hardwood dowels. 

The frets are NOT glued down, but finely hammered in place and then are made sure to never put out that dreaded buzzing sound so you can finger-pick, play with a slide, hammer on, and off with ease. 

All guitars are finished with 3-4 layers of high gloss clear coat material for looks and protection. 

Each guitar is signed with the Bydand signature.
