We are pleased to offer you this lovely antique bisque shoulder head German Lady doll. Incised on the back of her bisque shoulder head is "HALBIG" with letters and or numbers below the leather. I did not wish to disturb the leather so do not know which mold number she may be. Reference attributes this doll to German Simon & Halbig, 1889+. Simon & Halbig are known for their quality dolls.  Reference shows similar such as mold 1250.  Measures a large 28" tall being a bisque shoulder head with lower bisque hands incised "10" at the elbow area, beautiful detailing including knuckle indentations and accented nails, all fingers intact. She has a rivet jointed kid leather body with composition lower legs. Body shows some overall wear, scuffs, for being 100 or so years old. Her upper arms at the shoulders may need a little restoration, they are pulled through the body at this area and are a bit loose but together intact. Her feet have unique individual toes, a little dirty. I flashed inside this bisque shoulder head and do not see any cracks or hairlines, a good bisque. There is plaster cement inside that was used to secure the sleepy eyes on rocker as most doll people do. A "sweet" face with molded feathered brown eye brows, brown glass open and close sleepy eyes work fine, thick upper mohair lashes on the eye lids, retains wax on the lids with painted lashes around the eyes. She has open mouth with four upper teeth, lovely blush on her near perfect little face, a faint dimple in her chin. She has pierced ears and wears earrings to accent her outfit. Antique mohair wig is glued on a pate that slips over her head, a few hairs out of place it is charming but does show some overall wear. Nicely dressed in period style antique clothing which includes a peach skirt with attached net slip, it hooks at the waist. Elaborate long top with hooks down the front, antique full slip, half slip, pantaloons, stockings and shoes. The elastic clasp is broken off her shoe, her shoes need restoration.  Her top and skirt are gorgeous but show "melting" throughout, tiny rips, sewing restorations may be needed, or you may wish to replace some of her clothing. I will have her top and skirt folded in bubble wrap off the doll to avoid any further damage to this clothing, they are frail.  She has a straw hat in need of some restoration also, there is a necklace around her neck that matches her earrings.
