The celebrated battle between the U.S.S. Constituition and the H.M.S. Guerriere during the war of 1812 was actually the second time these two frigates had met on the open sea. A few weeks prior to their historic conflict, a British squadron led by the lordly Guerriere surround the frigate. With escape seemingly impossible, the captain of the Constituion, Isaac Hull, ordered out the small boats and by kedgin a manuever whereby an anchor was dropped some distance ahead and the hawser heaved in, the sip was gradually pulled forward. Hull also orered most of the fresh water pumped overboard and the sails wet down to catch every bretah of air. The Constituion escaped. several weeks later the two war ships met again, alone this time, and the mighty Constitution completely destroyed the Guerriere.

Items that are paid for on the same order do qualify for combined shipping. Shipping rates are based on the total weight and size of the package, and you can choose from any of the shipping options available. Orders over $99 will have the option for free promotional shipping. Some restrictions apply to the free shipping promotion. Orders that are shipped to PO Boxes, APO and military address, and outside of the Continental US will be switched to Parcel Post if FedEx is selected. Mark Twain Hobby reserves the right to modify or change the shipping method selected for an order. Missouri residents must pay sales tax on all items.
We also offer combined shipping for international customers when items are paid for together. Large and oversized items are excluded from the shipping discount.

International Buyers
Import duties, taxes, and charges are NOT INCLUDED in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
