Here’s a really neat little add-on for owners of the classic CD V-700 cold war Geiger Counter, bringing it up to date and making it more user friendly. It’s a fully self-contained mini speaker and LED flasher module, fitted with a short lead and adaptor that screws directly on to the standard CD V-700 headphone connector, so no modifications are required. This tiny unit (measuring approx 65 x 30 x 16mm/2.5 x 1.25 x 0.75 inches) weighs only 40 grams (1.5 ounces) and it has a bright 5mm red LED that flashes with each ‘click’. It is powered by three readily obtainable LR44/AG13 button cells (included) and these can last weeks or months with typical intermittent use. The chip-powered piezo speaker is loud enough to be heard clearly by the user in most environments, but without being intrusive. The only control is a simple on/off switch. The module is coloured CDV yellow and finished with a CD decal. It has been tested with all popular CD V-700 makes (Anton, ENI, Lionel & Victoreen) and models (6A/B). It is supplied with a set of button cells and a strip of self-adhesive ‘loop & hook’ tape, so it can be fitted (and quickly and easily removed) to the side or on the top of the CD V-700 case. You can see it in action on YouTube at:  http://goo.gl/z3PDS (this shows the older version which now comes with a 3.5mm jack socket adaptor and an an even brighter 5mm LED).

Please note this auction is for 1 speaker module only; the CD V-700 is NOT included.
