V - Groove Golf grip remover & saver
High quality, with chrome plated sprung steel blade, pressed channel in blade and riveted handle

This is a fantastic tool for removing & saving grips, probably one of the best golf club tools I own! The V-shape channel allows solvent (white spirit or similar) to flow down behind the grip, loosening the adhesive bond of the tape.  The channel also strengthens the tool to allow leverage to work the grip loose.  Brilliant if you are removing the grip to butt trim, extend a shaft, or remove grips to use another time.

Simply fold back the lip on the grip and slide the tool underneath. Pour a bit of solvent in the groove as you work up and around the grip. A little bit of patience will go along way as you let the solvent do its work.  Once removed any grip tape left in the grip can be removed with a wire bore brush or an old hacksaw blade.

Note: The V-Groove Grip Remover may not work well with full cord grips or certain grips that do not stretch a bit.  However half cord grips such as Golf Pride multi compound are fine.
