DESCRIPTION:
We are pleased to offer you this all composition jointed Kewpie doll, dressed as Groom which was designed by Rose O'Neill and made by the Cameo Doll Company most likely in the 1930s. Kewpie has side glancing eyes, a cute smirk smile, has molded painted orange brown hair. He is jointed at the hips, shoulders and head. Arms need "re-strung", arms are only held in place with his shirt sleeve cuffs. Doll has all fingers intact with paint wear on the tips. I did not remove his shirt since it has a few stitches up the back. He has some overall wear, composition line crazing throughout, a little paint lifting on the hair area, hat covers this flaw. Groom outfit is older with some wear but charming. There is a white blouse, black bow, pants, jacket, hat, stockings and shoe. This Kewpie Groom would be a "Treasure" for collection or display!
