All of my Octal Tube Amps are designed to give the earliest kind of Sun Recording Studio sound. Musical Amplifiers using the larger 8 pin (Octal) are all I have ever built.
This hot bias'ed 3 Tube early 40's Copy has a Fat Octal sound. All NOS (New Old Stock) Tube line up. A RCA JAN 6SL7 Pre-Amp tube. RCA NOS VT107 Mil-Spec with a black base red ink 6V6 Final tube, RCA 5Y3 Rectifier also. Featuring a 6 position Mode Switch. Master Volume as all of Indigo Labs Amps come with. Warm Distortion, to Dirty Blue and NO hum. Very, very quite at idle. Comes with all USA NOS tubes.

Serial number 1019. The Power Transformer has yet to get warm at full output, as does the Output Transformer. This single 8 watter has power that lets you get deep into the swamp, but still breakup well at lower volumes. Designed to play with all controls max'ed.
The Mode Switch on this Amp has 6 positions And a new Clean Switch which restores the sound to normal compression (almost) with very sweet "chimey" 6V6 sound.
This particular chassis (Serial 1020) is voiced for a more dynamic range (using the MODE switch) between "CLEAN" (position 1) to vibrant & full sustain (5 & 4), then going to the more harmonic modes 3,2, that exhibit a squelching tendency, with the #6 position ending with a warm octal tube fuzz. Now featuring a "Clean" switch that will provide 6 more cleaner tones, with the cleanest (Mode Switch position 1) having a very slight 6V6 chime that gives the sweetest clean sound. The nicest clean sound I challenge any other Amp to reproduce as I've spend many, many hours in the last year to have this Amp clean up it's act, and it can only be done with a switch and the related custom circuitry. In the distort switch position, still has the Texas "La Grunge" that this Amp has become famous for.
In the video clip the Pre & Master volume were set all the way maxed with a single row (Non-Humbucker) ~ cold 4Kohm neck pickup. The Treble control is active. Actually another volume control on this chassis. There is no " tone cut". With a hot pickup like a humbucker, this amp is shameless. Has absolutely NO hum or buzz at Max settings with an average input cord. Not bad for AC filaments.
Compression is very high, so you can play clean with your guitar Volume knob at half way, then crank it up for your lead solo with slightly more loudness, just your now distorted. Hammering and pull offs are very full and bright, about 75% of a hard strum.
