DESCRIPTION:

We are pleased to offer you this lovely antique German DOLLY FACE doll.  Incised on the back of her bisque head is "Made in Germany, 390, A 8 M".  Reference attributes to 1890+ Germany by Armand Marseille. This doll is a bisque socket head on wooden composition jointed body who measures 25" tall. Body is jointed at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs and knees with all fingers intact. The left hand first finger shows line crack repair, fingers accented with red lines for that realistic look. Body shows re-paint, a few scuffs, overall wear, paint loss, for being 100 or so years old but together intact.  A "sweet" dolly face with open and close blue glass sleepy eyes that work fine, retains most wax on the eye lids, painted lashes around the eyes, brush stroked brown brows, she has open mouth with upper teeth, molded tongue, a faint little dimple in her chin, lovely rose color blush on her "near perfect" face. Wears dark blonde replacement wig with locks of curls that slips nicely over a pate on her head. I flashed her head and do not see any cracks or hairlines, mold line on the right side of her head has darkened over the years as you sometime find on the antique dolls. Inside the head is plaster cement that was used to secure the sleepy eyes on rocker as most doll people do. Doll wears a charming print dress with a label that says "Made Especially for You the Little Women Shoppe". It is in nice condition with buttons down the back. She wears vintage slip, pantaloons, stockings and shoes.  Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description. If you would like further photos or have questions please email me. This is a lovely old doll that displays well, has a "beautiful" face and would be a "Treasure" for a collection or display!  Offering to you AS IS condition shown with BUY IT NOW listing. We do combine shipping and have many other "fabulous" dolls listed in our Ebay Store! Thank you for looking!
