Unlike most auctions, both switches include a single installed HP (Agilent) HFBR-5720L 850nm 2Gb Fibre Channel SFP Module (fibre cable adapter) so you just need to buy your fibre cable to get them working together over fibre (or of course you can use regular network cables in the standard ports until you decide to use the fibre between them).
I purchased these switched for home use (overkill for most homes but performance is king and wow the fibre is super fast - up to 2GB transfers between the switches across the length of our house). I'm selling as I need more connection ports and don't really want to stack several of these so buying the bigger versions. They work perfectly and I've never had any problems with them. Condition is virtually immaculate on both as they've been safely sitting within cupboards.
The cost of these switches individually brand new now are £118 each which does not include the SFP transceivers which are in this auction (they are £20 each and you can add up to another one in each switch if required). Total cost brand new would therefore be £276.
These are the UK model with UK plugs.
