Here we have a used Vintage "Polaroid SX-70 SLR Sonar Onestep AF ( = Autofocus with the use of the Sonar) Sears Special Instant Film Land Camera - very hard model to find... "WITH ISSUES". Camera ID# 5L943295182". Actual Camera in photo's. Keep in mind that these camera's were made back in the 1980's, and are Vintage items and should be considered prior to purchase. This is in Good Condition, but it is used and shows some signs of usage wear and marks (See ALL photos as we gave you some from every angle). Bellows are great and hole free. Opens and closes in locked position. Rollers have been cleaned and roll free. Sonar AutoFocus has been tested and does work in Sonar Mode, although the switch to Manual focus mode works great as well, you will need to put a small folded up piece of paper in the top part of the switch to keep it in manual mode as it no longer locks into that option. The Camera DOES have the following Issues/Concerns: 1) The outer skin inserts that Polaroid used on this model are not leather, and did not stand up to the test of time - they really dried out and cracked over time - I used some armorall to give some life back to it, but it really needs to be replaced as it's current state is Ugly. Only the outer skin is cracked, not the body of the camera. 2) The switch to Manual focus mode works great, but you will need to put a small folded up piece of paper in the top part of the switch to keep it in manual mode as it no longer locks into that option. 4) Out of the 5 test photos, one of the photo's needed a gentle tug to help come all the way out. If you want to replace the outer skin, new SX-70 replacement camera skins are available on various web sites including eBay for about $20. . I put a new leather skin on my SLR 680 and it looks great, and only took about 30 or so minutes. Does not come with Film or anything not in the photo's. The Newest & Freshest Instant SX-70 Film can now be purchased from a company called "Impossible" on their web site, but please make sure you read their full usage instructions as it's different than the Polaroid versions... We go the extra mile in testing these
and buy Expired Polaroid film to actually test our camera's with - This is not a
cheap test to complete, but want to ensure our camera's work prior to
listing them. The film is old/expired and bad and usually never develops
correctly, but it works for the purpose of testing. Photo you see was
produced during the testing of this camera, but will not be included. . A Wonderful Item at a great price based on it's current condition.
