The bottom fitter is not jagged, the black cloth is wrinkled across the fitter.
Antique etched ball shade with deeply and detailed embossed images with 4 inch fitter. I have handled the reproductions and while very close, these are a little more detailed. Nice condition. Can be used on gas lamps, oil lamps, chandeliers, etc!! 10 inch diameter, roughly. I feel that if I had a big set of calipers and could measure across tip of nose to opposite tip, it would be larger than 10. The fitter area will show wear from going in and out of the shade holder but in pretty nice shape. The black cloth the shade is resting on is wrinkled around the fitter in the photo. Lipped top opening for the chimney. Very nice glass. Good weight and feel.
