A scarce, circa early 1900's Nicholls Brothers smooth faced iron, marked with "Nicholls Special" in an oval cleek mark. The shaft is a rare Hunt shaft, stamped A. C. & P. Co. Hunt Mfgr. Westboro, Mass. The thick grip looks like it could be original or an "in period" replacement. The shaft is fairly straight and is sound. This combination of an early Nicholls club and a Hunt shaft is known to have occurred but is not often found. About 37" long. See many photos below for complete description and condition. |
