British made by SALTER, a rare Victorian scale that would have been used in the kitchen for weighing out and baking. Scale is still in working order although we recommend to use decoratively. The heavy cast iron base is ornate in design.  The removable tin pan has tarnished to a dull brown, but has been given a protective waxing to ensure it doesn't tarnish any further. The face of the scale has great patina and is the original creamy color with the Salter branding. In rustic vintage condition, the face is very clear. Perfect piece for the collector!
