This is a good example of a North African Powder Flask with Tool that dates from the early 19th Century. It is wood constructed with a leather covered body that is enhanced with decorative brass tacks which have now richly patined with age. The lovely carved wooden spout has survived in nice condition and the plug remains present. Overall measuring 9 inches in length by 3 5/8 inches across. Interestingly, there is an old metal combination tool attached that has also richly patined with age.
