Sankyo Kohki Komura 135mm f3.5 Prime Lens M42

A rare Sankyo 135mm lens with a M42 mount.

This lens is in generally very good optical condition, but there is a small outbreak of fungus on the edge of one internal element. This is relatively mild and could probably be cleaned satisfactorily as the lens should be simple enought to dismantle with the correct tool.

The diaphragm has 14 blades. There is oil on the blades which is not affecting their operation.

Although useable and working, I think this highly regarded and rare lens should probably be stripped down and cleaned.

Details:

No scratches on the glass

No cleaning marks on the glass

Some fungus

Focus ring smooth in operation

Aperture ring smooth in operation

Oil on blades

Diaphragm operating correctly

Filter ring not damaged

A note about dust:

All used lenses will have some dust in them, sometimes even new lenses. Most dust will not affect a photo because all of the image passes through all of the glass with the result that dust is 'averaged out'. I do not specifically mention the amount in dust in a lens unless I spot a large particle, or if there is lots of it. If you do not wish to buy a lens with dust in it, then you do not want a used lens, and should contact the manufacturer of your camera for a price list of new lenses.
