Selmer Omega Professional Alto Saxophone 1980s Model 162

For sale I have a Selmer Omega Professional Alto Saxophone

These were produced by the Selmer Company in the 1980s and are known as some of the best professional saxophones Selmer ever produced. They competed with the French-produced Selmer Super Action 80 model, and many players say they play even better.

This saxophone was purchased by a professional Los Angeles studio musician in the 1980s directly from Selmer, and used as a back-up…. Although it was played from time to time, this saxophone spent most of its time in a closet in the case.

The saxophone is in fantastic condition. The lacquer is in great shape and shows minimal signs of wear. Some small scratches can be seen on certain parts of the sax, however all are very minor. Please see the photos!

This saxophone also features a high F# key only found on professional saxophones

Saxophone does not have any dents what so ever… body is extremely straight … this saxophone  has been very well taken care of and is ready for a new loving home.

I took this saxophone to a saxophone repair-man… he did a full adjustment/regulation on the saxophone and made sure that it is ready to play out of the case for the new owner

Saxophone is ready to go… pads are in fantastic condition and have lots of life left.

This is truly a professional saxophone, the tone is complex and full-bodied, with fabulous intonation and responsiveness that only Selmers are known for.
