Various sizes and colors of the Elosegui Super Lujo (Super Luxury) 100% high quality wool beret: The size refers to the outer diameter,  in U.S. inches, all berets have a 6.5 inch inner headband diameter that the wearer needs to stretch to fit their head (see my youtube 'how to stretch a beret' video.   Don't confuse these berets with the cheap berets seen elsewhere.  Elosegui of Tolosa, Spain make THE finest berets!  It's the only brand of beret I sell for one simple reason; they are the best.

Difficult to find even in Spain, you have found what I, in my humble opinion, consider to be THE greatest Boina, or beret made. This Basque Beret is from the Spanish Basque region, made by Boinas Elósegui, a small family company; one of the last beret makers outside of China. Most berets are 9-10 inches in diameter. This high quality beret is made of a substantial, superior quality black 100% wool that is woven and felted by the beret maker. I have seen and owned a lot of berets over the years and have never found one I would consider equal in quality.A bold statement I know but I have been selling these on ebay, and my web site,  for over a decade  now and have had nothing but praise; and many reorders.

These berets do not have a leather headband, it uses the beret material as the headband. Why do I like this better than a beret with a leather headband? In a word; comfort. This is a personal preference but I feel these berets fit one's head shape better, the headband doesn't change size (neither stretch nor shrink) or get dry and stiff like a leather band can. It can be stretched to fit even the biggest head size & shape, and fits all but the smallest heads (the headband come about 6.5 inches in diameter from the factory) making it a great present as there's no guessing on size. It also rolls, or folds, up easy for putting in your pocket or packing. This is one of the few hats I can wear all day, even forgetting it's on my head. I wear my beret year round. It's great in the rain, shades my head in the summer (how they are used in the Basque country). I use to wear it as my bike hat; until the city mandated helmets. Darn! Should you really want a beret with a headband, most any shoe repair shop could add a strip of leather to any of these berets, and the quality of the leather will no doubt be much nicer than what a hat company would offer.

My berets can be found on happy heads in all corners of the U.S. and the world (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, England, Scotland, Finland, Hungry, Ireland, Japan, Latvia, Netherlands, New Zeland, Norway, Germany, Mexico, Singapore, Sweden, Israel, France, and now even Spain ) and never a complaint. It makes a great gift because there is no size guessing.

A great value made by a small 150+ year old family company in Spain. You can compare my berets to others costing $60 and more; it's that nice and it's that great a value (and my profit margin is that low). You, or your loved one, will love it, I'm sure!

I started just offering a 12 inch diameter beret but now offer other beret sizes and colors: The slightly smaller 11 inch still bigger than most hat store berets), the original 12 inch, now in: Black, Blue, and Red. an even larger 13.5 inch diameter beret (34 cm), and a crazy really big 14.5 incher! These are even more difficult to find and I can almost guarantee you will not meet anyone else wearing such berets! The 13.5 and 14.5 inch berets are renaissance artist-type berets. Really big, lots of material to shape and style. They're also what the Basque cowboys wear to protect themselves from the weather.  The other sizes and colors are listed on my web site (search basque beret; I'm right near the top of the google list)

Note: The holiday season cleaned me out of many sizes but I have more berets arriving soon; plus some new customs colors.  Contact me for more info.  Ron
