This is one of the finest quality Betas ever produced known for its razor sharp picture quality, crisp hi-fi stereo sound and excellent tape compatibility. This unit features many new parts including high quality capacitors throughout, rebuilt capstan board, rebuilt carriage loader and re-enforced loading/ threading gears for continued reliable operation. Test tapes are included to demonstrate functionality, picture and sound quality. All motors run smoothly and the unit plays and records perfectly. This is an ideal unit for transferring PRO Grade Beta tape collections over to digital. Includes 2 Test tapes to demonstrate functionality, picture and sound quality. 30 day warranty on all boards, electronic components and mechanical tape path parts. Restoration/ Technical:
New high quality capacitors installed in Power Supply, Video and Hi-Fi Boards
Rebuilt Capstan Board (all leaky defective caps replaced)
Rebuilt Carriage Loader
Re-enforced threading /loading motor worm shaft gears. The 2 piece nylon plastic gear tends to form a split and soon the motors begin to slip causing loading malfunctions. A custom aluminum ring is pressed over the gear section to restore loading/ threading operations back to normal. Eventually they all split so even if I find ones that are working fine, the repair mod is made anyway as preventative maintenance/ higher reliability.
Rebuilt Reel board: S and T Reels slightly resurfaced for smoothest possible playback.
Repaired front flip down door hinges.
Full tape path cleaning/ check and renewed pinch roller.
Full servo/video system and center tracking alignment according to factory service manual.
