This is a stylish swimming costume by Christian Dior in matt black. It features crossover back straps attached to the lower body of the suit by gold metal 'CD' letters (photos 1-2). As you can see from the pictures it is in a good condition, not just on the outside, there's no tarnishing of the gold (photo 4), the interior bust area is untouched (photo 5) nor is the crotch (photo 6). It has been thoroughly washed - you can see how the washing machine faded the printed material label (photos 9-10) so that it's hardly legible. You can just make out 'Made in France', 'REF 501022', 'FR 46', 'EUR 44', then 'INT' which looks like it might have a very faded 18 after it, but upon checking other Dior costumes we figured by their normal French sizing (all the 42's were UK 12's) it's most likely to be a UK 16. You can also read 75% polyamide before it's too faded to read the other side.
It being a swimming costume and stretchy material makes it difficult to measure; laid flat and without any attempt to stretch it then from the top of one leg hole to the next is 16 inches across; the front piece of material without stretching is also 16 inches from seam to seam (and bear in mind it's backless apart from the straps). However it is a swimsuit, meant to be close to the skin, and a stretchy fabric so keep that in mind and probably best to go with average UK16 measurements.
