Indications :
Cet antiparasitaire est un insecticide et un acaricide systémique qui assure :
Une activité insecticide immédiate et persistante sur les puces pendant 12 semaines.
Une activité acaricide immédiate et persistante sur les tiques pendant 12 semaines.
Afin d’être exposées à la substance active, les puces et les tiques doivent être présentes sur l’animal
et avoir commencé à se nourrir.
L’effet sur les puces débute dans les 8 heures (C. felis) et dans les 12 heures pour les tiques (I. ricinus).
Le produit peut être utilisé dans le cadre d’un plan de traitement de la dermatite allergique par
piqûres de puces (DAPP).
Contre-indications :
Ne pas utiliser en cas d’hypersensibilité au principe actif ou à l’un des excipients.
Mises en garde particulières à chaque espèce cible :
Pour pouvoir être exposés au fluralaner, les parasites doivent avoir commencé à se nourrir sur l’animal ;
par conséquent, le risque de transmission de maladies d’origine parasitaire ne peut être exclu.
Précautions particulières d'emploi chez l’animal :
En l’absence de données disponibles, Bravecto ne doit pas être utilisé chez les chiots âgés
de moins de 8 semaines et/ou chez les chiens dont le poids est inférieur à 2 kg.
Le produit ne doit pas être administré à moins de 8 semaines d’intervalle, car l’innocuité
pour des intervalles plus courts n’a pas été testée.
Effets indésirables (fréquence et gravité) :
Les effets indésirables fréquemment observés lors des essais cliniques (1,6 % des chiens traités)
sont des effets gastro-intestinaux légers et transitoires tels que diarrhée,
vomissements, inappétence et ptyalisme.
Conseils d'utilisation
Administrer le comprimé de Bravecto qui correspond à la taille de votre chien.
Administrer Bravecto comprimés à croquer au moment ou autour du moment du repas.
Bravecto est un comprimé à croquer et est bien accepté par la plupart des chiens.
Si le comprimé n’est pas pris volontairement par le chien, il peut également être donné
avec de la nourriture ou directement dans la gueule.
Le chien doit être surveillé pendant l’administration afin de s’assurer que
le comprimé a bien été ingéré.

How does Bravecto work:
After giving your dog Bravecto, the medication quickly reaches tissue fluids under your dog's skin.

Bravecto kills fleas, prevents flea infestations and kills ticks (black-legged tick (a.k.a. deer tick),
American dog tick, and brown dog tick) for 12 weeks.
Bravecto also kills lone star ticks for 8 weeks.
Flea Control Effectiveness with Bravecto
Cautions:
Not for human use. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children.
Keep the product in the original packaging until use,
in order to prevent children from getting direct access to the product.
Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling the product.
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after use of the product.
What is Bravecto used for:
Bravecto kills adult fleas and is indicated for the treatment and prevention of
flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis), and the treatment and control of tick infestations
[Ixodes scapularis (black-legged tick (a.k.a. deer tick)), Dermacentor variabilis (American dog tick),
and Rhipicephalus sanguineus (brown dog tick)] for 12 weeks in dogs and
puppies 6 months of age and older, and weighing 4.4 pounds or greater.
Bravecto is also indicated for the treatment
and control of Amblyomma americanum (lone star tick) infestations for 8 weeks in dogs and
puppies 6 months of age and older,
and weighing 4.4 pounds or greater.
Bravecto can be used in adult dogs, and it's even safe for use in breeding, pregnant, and lactating dogs.
For use in growing puppies, they should be 6 months of age or older and weigh at least 4.4 lbs.
How to administer Bravecto Chews for Dogs:
Bravecto should be administered orally as a single dose every 12 weeks according to
the dosage schedule (How to Use tab)
to provide a minimum dose of 11.4 mg/lb (25 mg/kg) body weight.
Treatment with Bravecto may begin at any time of the year and can continue year round without interruption.
