1985 Honda CR 500 RF restored engine.
It is a 1985 Honda CR 500 cc single cylinder, water cooled engine, believed to be the most powerful production Motocross engine ever made. This engine has been rebuilt with no expense spared. Comes with later two part clutch cover, without any of the troublesome 'honda rot!' Below is a comprehensive list of what this engine has had done during the rebuild phase.
- Engine Casings checked and bead blasted
- All Casings,covers and cylinder powder coated
- Cylinder rebored with new oversize Wossner piston
- New Con Rod with new big/small ends
- ALL engine/gearbox bearings replaced
- New thrust washers and circlips to gearbox
- New gear selector rods
- New Water pump impeller
- Many other new parts throughout, with receipts to prove.
- Engine Strip down available to view certain parts, if required
- Other parts available, if required, on request
