My competitors will try to say these PID units are not good. They have obviously never used one. They claim theirs are better because in auto mode these will chase temp. BLAH BLAH BLAH. If they knew what they are talking about they would know you cannot use these in auto mode, other than initial heat and hold (170F), PERIOD! They have to be used in manual mode to boil. You adjust the power to the element by percentage (0-100, 100 being full power) This way is much more accurate than their chinese crap shots using pots that are all over the place. IF you want a potentiometer controller, check out the ones in my store. The new relays are made here in the US and they are accurate across the entire sweep. So accurate in fact that you dont even need the ammeter display. Its just there for appeal.

This auction is for a TOP OF THE LINE 220v PID controller kit with 5500w ULTRA LOW WATT incoloy heating element Camco 02963 for moonshine/e85/water still or brewing. You can upgarde the element to the new SS thread 02965 for $10, just leave a note when you purchas! These units are 5x, YES! 5X cheaper than running propane, per run. Also safer as long as you remember to keep a wash of less that 45% ABV, and always add enough water to keep element covered. It comes in a 8"x8"x4" job box with mounting tabs. This kit comes complete with everything except your 30A-220v plug if you can show me your plug type and add $25 I will include it already hooked up. Otherwise, you will need your own 30-40A plug (220v models only) to match whatever outlet you have. They can be found at any hardware store or on the back of a junk dryer, welder etc. These can also be made as 110v units per your request. Included is the PID, with a thermostat controlled cooling fan and heat sink to ensure long life. This comes with 6' of chord that goes from the controller to the element. For an additional fee I can add more length or add a twist lock plug in the middle or end for quick disconnect. However, I only recommend water tight connections since you are dealing with 220v. Also included is a 5500w ultra low watt density incoloy element and 304 SS bung. These elements are made to withstand dry fire and sediment. You will need to cut a 2" circle from the back of a metal junction box and have it and the bung welded to your boiler. It also has an on/off switch so you dont get a flash from plugging in a live unit to 220v. These controllers cause no interference in your house if your home is wired correctly. It gives you a range in power from 1% - 100% in manual mode to control your boiler even on a still. The digital screen reads the temp at top and power percentage at bottom. Also included is a high quality rtd100 probe in SS sheathing, that reads in point one degree and its SS bung as well. I can also build a custom unit for 2 heating elements or HERMS. 

Now for the reason this controller is better than the rest!

Not only does it cost less, I make them using the best parts. These do not roll of an assembly line. It has two alarm settings that can be set for letting you know of temp changes in .1 degree F!!!

I have sold hundreds of these outside of Ebay and have had no complaints on function, these work great for running stills and large mash tuns
