This is a Bonneville "Lakester" land speed car project.  Overall length is 18', wheel base is 16', rear track is 44", front track is 48".  Power is a rebuilt GMC strait six 270 engine.  However, other engines could be used.  Trany is a rebuilt Chev powerglide that originally powered a dragster.  Rear end is a narrowed Chrysler from the same dragster.  The front axle/wheels and tires came from the same dragster.  Included is a new torque converter, proper driver harness system, quick release steering wheel, new seat, new Circle wheels (with Moon caps) in the rear and new rear tires, new autometer gages, plus extra items.  The 270 is stock except for a different cam(3/4 race?) that I bought from Keith Young (a Bonneville record holder with a 1939 Chev. coupe) and installed.  We painted it red.  Higher ratio gears were installed in the differential.  The rack and pinion steering is from a 280Z.  A single axle alum. covered trailer is included that has been renovated.  A miss calculation in the lakester's length won't allow the ramp/rear door to close all the way.  It will ride this way fine (see photos), but really needs about a foot added to the trailer to make it close properly.  THIS IS A VERY ROBUST BUILD WITH EXCELLENT QUALITY OF CONSTRUCTION.  It has not been inspected.  I can no longer finish it.  A GMC 302 may be available also.
