Eigenschaften

		Mit Analogkabeln überträgt man NF Audiosignale. Diese Kabel werden zur Verbindung von Mikrofonen, Lautsprechern und vielen anderen Audiokomponenten benötigt.
		SOMMER CABLE setzt in erster Linie sauerstofffreies (OFC) bzw. sauer stoff armes Kupfer ein. Zur Info: Kupfer besitzt einen spezifischen Widerstand von 0,0178 Ohm pro Meter Länge bei einem Querschnitt von 1 Quadratmillimeter. Je reiner das Metall um so geschmeidiger ist dieses (höhere Biegezyklen!) und desto konstanter bleibt dieser Wert über Jahre erhalten.
		Hierbei handelt es sich um eine neue Granulat-mischung auf PVC Basis welche ebenfalls exklusiv für SOMMER CABLE entwickelt wurde. S-PVC ist ein super Soft PVC welcher das „Feeling“ und die Flexibilität einer weichen Gummischlauch Leitung vermittelt, aber wesent-lich kerbfester und unempfindlicher gegen Kälte ist, als die meisten Standard PVC Mantel. Während die meisten Mantelmischungen im mobilen Einsatz schon bei –10 °C problematisch sind und zu Mantelrissen neigen, so kann das S-PVC noch bis zu Temperaturen von –30 °C eingesetzt werden.

		Analog cables are used to transmit low frequency audio signals and to connect microphones, speakers and many other audio components.
		SOMMER CABLE mostly uses oxygen-free (OFC) or low-oxygen copper. For your information: Copper has a specific resistance of 0.0178 Ohm per meter, at a diameter of 1 mm². The purer the metal, the smoother it is (high bending cycles!) and the more consistent this value will remain over the years.
		A granular mix on a PVC-basis, also exclusively developed for SOMMER CABLE. S-PVC is a super soft PVC with the “feeling“ and ? exibility of a soft rubber hose cable, but with signi? cantly more resistance to notching and cold temperatures than most standard PVC-jackets. While most jacket mixtures already start tearing during mobile application of –10 °C, the S-PVC withstands temperatures of –30 °C.

is the SC-SPIRIT XXL. This high end guitar cable is one of the most successful products of the past years and enjoys cult status with guitarists and bassists alike. Because of the excellent price-performance ratio, German and international trade press elected the SC-SPIRIT XXL test champion several times in a row. The cable is robust and yet flexible, while its smoke-coloured jacket gives it a high recall value. The shielding is ideal: The braiding is 95 % opaque and provides optical protection of 100 %, for even more safety. A special lacquering makes the complex foamed polyethylene insulation very endurable and helps protect the excellent transmission properties for years to come. The wire diameter of 0.75 mm² limits the loss typical for long distance guitar cables. There is hardly a guitar cable at a length of 10 m that sounds as good as the SC-SPIRIT XXL. Our customers consider the sound of the SC-SPIRIT XXL to be crystal-clear, clean and very neutral. It reproduces the impulsiveness of bass attacks exquisitely.

Caution: The black carbon shield between the braided shielding and the insulation is highly conductive. It must be removed before soldering to avoid short circuiting!

		These cables are optimized for sound. The special stranding or wire stranding along with perfect shielding will provide enduring listening pleasure and perfect transmission. They are used in the studio setting, in broadcasting, and in transmission vehicles.
		Cables for installation are in the first place designed for longevity and safe transmission, especially for ELA-technology. They can be wired inside buildings over long distances, but also inside audio units (amplifiers, speakers, etc.) or control cabinets.
