This is the RARE, VINTAGE, GIANT-SIZE ORIGINAL SUPERMAN "PEACE SIGN" DOOR POSTER from 1971! This rare life-size Superman poster measures about 72 inches tall by 24 inches wide! This huge six foot 1970's poster is much more impressive and breathtaking in person, and I believe it features the artwork of long-time Silver Age DC Action Comics artist CURT SWAN or possibly Justice League of America/JLA artist MURPHY ANDERSON, but I'm not 100 percent sure which.
This poster was featured in Silver Age DC Comic book advertisements, and I believe this poster was not available in stores. I think you could only acquire one through mail order, and there can't possibly be many of these posters left in existence, because there probably weren't that many manufactured, and most have probably been displayed, lost, or destroyed by now.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES: This HUGE 70's Superman the Man of Steel poster is STILL bright and colorful after all these years, and looks brighter than my camera makes it appear, but it has several imperfections. It's got some edge creasing, a bit of an old paper musty smell (like an old comic would), some scuffs, and some edge area tears that have been mended on the backside with tape. Otherwise, this poster would have been in "fine" or "fine/very fine" condition (using comic book grading terms). It has been previously displayed with thumbtacks, but just to take the photo.
