listing another eclectic assortment of antiques and collectibles, and I
suspect there will be something to interest just about everyone.
Here's a flat of 21 hard-to-find 5000 series Edison Blue Amberol cylinder records manufactured in the mid to late 1920's. They are being sold as a single lot only.
Condition of their playing surfaces appears to be quite good, the plaster cores are all largely intact, and the celluloid itself is uncracked, but all of the cylinders will need to be gently reamed in order to be playable. Four of the 21 will fit about 4/5 of the way onto a mandrel, but the remaining 17 records will fit only 1/2 to 2/3 of the way. If you do not know how to ream a Blue Amberol cylinder, or you don't feel comfortable reaming a Blue Amberol cylinder, please refrain from participating in this auction. The canisters are in decent condition. No tops, and a few of them don't have bottoms.
TO REPEAT: Most of the cylinders will need to be reamed in order to playable.
