Solid Merlin's Gold wire for wire wrapping is hard to find. I had this batch custom made for my own wire wrapping projects. With a beautiful golden color, it is attractive enough for finished wire wrapping pieces, yet inexpensive enough for practice work. This is my favorite metal to wire wrap in, I love the deep golden color.

10 feet of square, 20 gauge, half hard, solid Merlin's Gold wire. 

This wire is solid, not plated. Since it is solid, the color will not rub or scratch off.

About Merlin's Gold

Merlin's Gold is a brand name for jewelry grade bronze. It goes by the generic names Jeweler's Bronze, Low Brass, and Red Brass. They are all the same metal - bronze.

Technically Merlin's Gold is a bronze alloy made from approximately 85% copper and 15% zinc. It contains no lead or nickel.

Merlin's Gold is easier to work with than brass. Brass is much stiffer, and harder to bend. Merlin's Gold does not tarnish but does oxidize very slowly to form an antique patina over time. In its highly polished state, Merlin's Gold resembles 14K gold in color and shine.

Shipping Terms


All shipping is done by USPS First Class Mail (in the US), and USPS First Class International Airmail (outside the US). For larger orders, shipping may be automatically upgraded to USPS Priority Mail.

Orders are shipped within 3 business days of payment. For most orders in the US and Canada you should receive your order in 5 to 10 business* days from date of payment. (Anytime you order, it is best to allow up to 2 weeks for delivery.) Delivery time for orders outside the US and Canada may be longer or shorter, it varies by location.

Shipping times may be longer around major US holidays, especially the Christmas holiday season.

Normally, I do not offer overnight or expedited shipping. However, if you need me to expedite your order, let me know. I will do what I can to accommodate your needs. 

For orders outside the US, you are responsible for any customs duties or fees.
