Description

The DJI Ronin 3 axis handheld gimbal has been developed to meet the demands of rigorous handheld use in trying environments by film making professional. The DJI Ronin is built to the highest quality standards to ensure that it keeps up with all demands made of it.


The DJI Ronin is simple to use, hold it in your hands and create smooth and stable footage with the custom built ultra-fast processors, extremely accurate sensors, and advanced algorithms which all work together to create the Ronin's system. The key to the Ronin's stability comes from the precise control of the motors, the tolerance’s are within the range of plus or minus 0.02 of a degree, meaning that you have a world-class and industry leading 3 axis camera gimbal with the technology to deliver and create unparalleled picture and videos into your hands.


The DJI Ronin has a built-in balance adjustment system; this system allows for the setup of different cameras and, or lenses very quickly, this quick and simple operation is done without the need for tools. With a little practice, the DJI Ronin can be in operation in less than 5 minutes, to set up and balance whenever the camera configuration is changed. The built-in ATS (Auto Tune Stability) technology intelligently tunes the Ronin to your camera rig at the touch of a button.

The Ronin has not been customised for any specific camera setup, it can be adjusted to carry everything from a small & lightweight Micro-Four-Thirds camera to the much heavier systems like the Red Epic systems.


DJI were the first company to make a commercially available brushless gimbal, the Zenmuse gimbals were the first systems in the world to utilize brushless motor technology for professional filming and aerial photography. The Ronin 3 axis hand held gimbal is based on the same technology and it also offers multiple control modes using the built in IMU with customised direct drive brushless motors.

The DJI Ronin will support other cameras, the maximum size of a camera which the Ronin will hold is defined by this criteria. The maximum depth from the center of gravity on the camera base plate is 140 mm, the maximum height measured from the top of the camera base plate is 225 mm. The maximum width is 195 mm. It is recommened that the cables conected to the camera are "soft" as this will allow the least amount of resistance when the gimbal is in operation.
