Blackfire Scratch Resistant Clear Finish Polish

BLACKFIRE Scratch Resistant Clear (SRC) Finishing Polish uses nano abrasives to remove 2500-3000 grit sanding marks on fresh paints and to correct mild imperfections on cured paints. These fine abrasives ensure that the finish is given an incredible gloss! BLACKFIRE Scratch Resistant Clear Finishing Polish can be used to refine the paint after compounding or as a one-step shine enhancing polish. 

The Blackfire SRC formula offers the do-it-yourself, enthusiast a number of advantages:

- It will restore gloss and remove minor defects in nano, ceramic particle clear coats.

- It will restore gloss and remove minor defects in the new scratch-resistant clear coats.

- It can be applied by hand, dual action polisher or circular polisher. (Machine application is required for maximum defect removal in ceramic particle clear coats.)

BLACKFIRE Scratch Resistant Clear Finishing Polish will remove any existing wax or sealant and burnish the finish to a mirror-like shine. Applied by machine, it will remove 2500 grit swirls, spots, and scratches without hazing the finish. It is, in a word, remarkable.

Application by hand:

- Work on areas of 2 sq. ft., out of direct sunlight.

- For best results, apply with a Microfiber Applicator.

- Apply a quarter sized amount of polish to the pad.

- Mist the pad once with pad lubricant or water.

- Wipe polish over surface using short, firm, strokes until polish starts to dry.

- Allow a haze to form.

- Buff off residues by hand using a Microfiber Towel.

Application with a dual-action machine polisher:

- Work on approximately 2 sq. ft. areas out of direct sunlight.

- Apply using a Lake Country CCS White or Green Foam Polishing Pad (or a gray finishing pad if you're looking for less cut).

- Mist pad once with BLACKFIRE Advanced Foam Pad Conditioner.

- Apply an X line of polish on the pad.

- Using the foam pad, spread polish over the surface with the machine off. (This coats both the pad and the surface with polish.)

- Set the speed control between 4 and 5.

- Place foam pad on the paint and turn the polisher on.

- Work over the surface in an overlapping back and forth motion until polish starts to turn clear.

- Buff off residues by hand using a Microfiber Towel.

Application with a circular (rotary) polisher:

- Work on areas of approximately 2 sq. ft. out of direct sunlight.

- Apply using a Lake Country CCS White or Green Foam Polishing Pad (or a gray finishing pad if you're looking for less cut).

- Mist pad once with BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Conditioner.

- Apply an X of polish on the pad.

- Using the foam pad, spread polish over the surface with the machine off. (This coats both the pad and the surface with polish.)

- Set the speed control at 1,000 rpm.

- Place foam pad on the paint and turn the polisher on.

- Work over the surface in an overlapping back and forth motion until polish starts to turn clear.

- Buff off residues by hand using a Microfiber Towel.

After final buffing open all doors, the hood, and trunk and wipe body panel edges. Mist a detail brush with a quick-detail spray or residue remover and brush around emblems. Larger body moldings and wheel arch moldings can be cleaned with a quick-detail spray or residue remove or do what body shops do, mask off these moldings before you start polishing. Soak dirty foam pads in a bucket of soapy water (or with Detailer's Pro Series Polishing Pad Rejuvenator), agitate pads with your fingers, rinse with fresh water, hand squeeze out excess water and allow pads to air dry. After polishing, finish with a coat of your favourite wax or sealant.
