Two rare metal albums in one CD!
This features:
-Emerald, a mid-eighties power/heavy metal band from California; formed by genius songwriter, Dave Enos and by the powerful vocalist, Larry Phillips.
And,
-Oracle, an early 90s heavy/technical metal band led by a great guitarist ,Robert Kerns and drummer Jay Denny.
Oracle's music is heavy and somewhat thrash infused (The first tracked impressed me!). Their lyrics are narrative and epic christian-oriented, I enjoyed listening and reading their lyrics.
Emerald's energy and power comes from Dave's riffs and Kyle's thundering drums; what adds up to emerald's power are the vocals. Larry Phillips has a powerful dio-like vocals mixed with a klause meine accent.
if you love 80s rock/metal, you'll surely love this!
If you are a rock/metal fanatic or collector, i recommend this;
there aren't many copies of these albums (as a bundle or individual) in the world.
