Make sure to check out all of my auctions after you've looked at this one. I'm listing an eclectic assortment of technological antiques, and I suspect there will be something of interest to just about everyone.

Here's an eminently collectible American Electric potbelly candlestick phone that dates to the 1890's and is in exceptionally nice original condition throughout.

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, but as you can see, the phone appears to be complete and correct, and it retains its original American Electric receiver, as well as its original nickel plating and all of its original hardware (including the female threaded screws that secure the base plate to the underside of the base). The blind-stamped base plate is intact and undamaged, and all of the wiring inside is original. Nothing on this phone has been repaired or refurbished, and none of its parts are reproductions. No chips, cracks or damage anywhere. The phone's only obvious concession to age is some flaking nickel, which is to be expected, and the original transmitter cord, whose covering, as you can see, has deteriorated with the passage of time.

If you're looking for an early potbelly phone that doesn't need to be restored in order to be treasured, you've probably just found it.

Shipping weight, properly packed, will be about 8 lb.

That's about it. I will package everything properly so that it arrives at your doorstep safely.  I have been shipping antique phonographs and radios for years, and if you check my feedback, you'll see that I know how to do it correctly.
