ARTIST & TRANSPARENCY INFORMATION: The artist Bill Selby is a famous cover artist for sci-fi movies & is well known for his Star Wars paintings. This transparency was sent to George Lucas and was used in the approval process for the original Bill Selby 1977 Star Wars movie poster. As there has been no sight of the original artwork since 1977, this may be the last remaining & certainly the only available record of the original design.
PROVENANCE: Purchased from a 20th Century Fox studio executive.
