A beautiful set of 8 side plates in the very stylish Arcta pattern by Thomas, Germany (Rosenthal Bavaria).

Each item in this range features a very decorative textured bisque porcelain band with a stylised transfer print decoration; available at the time in blue or orange
Designed by Richard Scharrer in 1968, the
minimalist look is as contemporary today as it was in the late 1960's.
The punchy orange floral design compliments the more austere and controlled look of the bisque porcelain. They have a real 'designer' look about them and could easily be used for display.

Great quality expected from Thomas - you can tell these pieces have been designed well, tactile and very stylish.

There is one small chip in the rim of one plate. The other 7 are chip free. The porcelain is still a beautiful soft white with some very minor surface marks but overall, this set is in good condition. The underplates have some light signs of wear in the transfer print decoration but again have no significant damage or marks. Please see images for detail.

I have further items available in the Arcta Orange range so do please take a look. A very authentic mid-century set by a great manufacturer.

Please study images carefully as they form part of the description.
I am happy to answer any questions you may have and provide further images if required.
