What is a SlideBelts brand ratchet belt?

No holes? No problem.

SlideBelts use a special fastening mechanism that eliminates the need for traditional belt holes. Instead of holes, it uses a row of notches on the underside of the leather that automatically engage with a tab on the buckle as the strap is slid in.

No holes mean no more awkward "in between" sizes or ugly wear-and-tear at the hole points. Our Survival Straps have notches at 1/4" intervals that runs the entire length of the strap, giving a perfect fit every time. Once you have it on, making adjustments to your belt's size is simple and can be done quickly and discreetly. To tighten, just push the strap further into the buckle. To loosen, lift the frame of the buckle and pull the leather out.

If it looks fast and easy, that's because it is! Other belts with similar mechanisms use an ugly and awkward release tab that gets easily jammed. Our patented release lever is BY FAR the easiest to use and doesn't ruin the clean profile of the buckle. 

Each buckle is interchangeable with each strap.

Our buckles are removable and completely interchangeable with any of our straps. Want a new belt style without buying a whole new belt? Buy an extra buckle or strap, then mix and match.

Sizing


Uncut, SlideBelts Olive Drab Survival Strap fits up to a 38" or 48" waist depending on the size you choose. If the strap is too long, we suggest making the first cut at a larger size than you think is necessary, then cutting it down carefully by small increments until it's just right. 

Measurements:
Strap width is 1-1/4" (3 cm)
Standard Buckles are 1-5/8" (4 cm) x 3-1/2" (9 cm)

We offer FREE shipping in the U.S. via USPS Priority Mail. Items are shipped approximately 1 business day after payment clears. Within the Continental U.S., most products arrive 1-3 days after shipment, with 2 day delivery as the average ship time.

As always, all SlideBelts have a 30-day Return Policy & 1-year Warranty. We offer free exchanges on our straps(limited to US only). Cut your strap too short? We can exchange that.
