This Rolex is a vintage collectible stainless steel Rolex SIGMA DIAL Oyster Perpetual Datejust model 1603 from 1972 with original dial, hands, and band!!! The patina on the dial and hands is amazing! The band is also in great condition for the age! 

The Sigma dial is a rare find and this variant is quiet unique!

The watch is in a stainless steel 36mm case. The all original silver pie-pan dial is marked: Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified 0 T Swiss T 0. All lume plots are present around the edge of the dial. 

The Rolex crimped link band is in good condition for its age! The buckle is date coded 4 75 on the inside of the clasp! The band will fit up to a 7 inch wrist. The clasp reads: Patented & Registered Swiss Made Rolex Steelinox 6251H. 

The serial number of the watch is 3,23X,XXX. The model number is 1603. The watch is date coded inside the caseback to 1972!!!

The watch has its ORIGINAL plastic crystal. The crystal has been polished but may have some minor nicks/scratches from age. 

 Inside the case back reads: Montres Rolex S.A. Geneva Switzerland Patented Stainless Steel 1601 II.72. The model and serial numbers are clearly readable between the lugs. The original Rolex automatic wind movement is the 26 jewel cal. 1570. 

The watches case, bezel, and band have scratches/wear from age. The bottom left lug has a small gouge from someone taking the band off at some point over the years. 

The movement is currently running and is smooth to wind/set.
