This
is an unusual set it is a miniature tea kettle or tea pot sugar and creamer, with Japanese
marks on the base of the teapot only - please see photos. This comes with a
wooden base, but I am not sure if it is the original stand it has obviously been
with the set for a while as there are round circles on the top which correspond
with the size of the base of the set. The lids do not come off the two pieces
with them. The sugar bowl has two dints to the lid {opposite sides} They do need
a clean and a polish - there is some silver cleaning residue in places but as
silver buyers know just how they like their silver I have left this as is. The
background is like tiny hammered dots superimposed with a cherry blossom
decoration. The teapot is approx'y 3cm tall, the jug approx'y 2.5cm tall and the
cream or milk jug approx'y 1.5cm tall. The total width is approx'y 23gm. N.B.
The teapot does not have a handle - made this way it has not gone missing! This tests as high quality silver. A
lovely set for any miniature, teaset, silver or Japanese
collectors.
