Vintage Computer Engraver around 1987 to 1988 and still working. This is my cousin Charles Moore of Hollywood, Florida. -Formerly -Moore Engraving Crafts- if you type this into google it will show Charlie and his site. He passed away at 85 years old.  A Dahlgren XL computer engraving machine. Charlie did all the engraving in the shop on this the better of his 2 machines. He wanted me to learn and use this but I am selling it for his wife and sending the money to her.  The other machine and all miscellaneous equipment is sold when the house was sold months ago-  I know how to turn this on but do not know how to operate it. I have taken this to Service of the South in Oviedo, Florida and they looked and checked it and it works fine but you will have to read and understand  all the manuals yourself to use this machine. It comes with a diamond tip for metal in the machine. and 2 more spare diamond tips and 11 plastic cutter tips. It has a monitor that if you put in any line drawing of a picture or graphics you might design it will cut it into the metal or plastic. There are in the machine 2 fonts of gothic and 3 line roman type but there are more font cartridges in the spare parts. there are 3 snap in job storage cartridges and all the cartridges come apart and you can swap  the pinned chips out. Charlie engraved for many many businesses and FSU and other large companies etc. Metal or Plastic. I show in one photograph samples made of round and test lines done by Service of the South to test the machine. I had about 25 photographs of the parts and machine but e bay only holds 12 photographs. There are 3 large metal plates that attach to the engraving deck that allow you to engrave large sheets of metal or signs or plates keeping them level and in line. A great machine for an advanced hobbiest or business with someone who can read and understand the manuals. This is a STAND ALONE MACHINE it does not require a computer or a internet connection all the programing is in the machine right now and you just have to use the manual. this was made when  MS DOS was used in computers and so is built or based as a stand alone machine. I can deliver this anywhere in Florida for say $100.00 in gas, and have put local pickup with cost of 100.00 in the listing. If you are local to the Tampa, Florida Area or near there I can deliver it for less in my van. I have Dahlgren XL and Dahlgren II manuals and catalogs to order designs and supplies and a cabinet of the spare tips and parts that go with the machine and the engraving extension plates.
