 --Vintage  - Train Dispatcher Adjusted original multicolored dial. ----A 15 jewel stem wind- lever set Pocket Watch. Size 18 size watch or 52 mm.-- 2  1/8 inches --15 jewels- estimated- - serial number 1940719--date 1910---an excellent  nickel finished movement with gilt in the writing a bright finished movement. Movment is marked Missouri Pacific Specially Adjusted Swiss Extra Quality Highly Jeweled. Dial is the original enamel porcelain dial to this watch with sunk seconds bit signed  Train Dispatcher marked adjusted under center post under 12,  Hands are original blued steel spade and the original crystal. Watch case is signed N. W. J. CO. Warranted 2     68645.  Watch comes with a plated watch chain. These were made by Switzerland for the American Railroaders and sold by the Jobbers to the Catalog Sales Companies and while high quality are made to read on the movement and the dials like extra super railroad watches and many were sold and very few have survived and the Missouri Pacific model is one of the harder ones to find. This case has a lot of brass wear on the front where it was worn but the back is nice and the middle so must have been carried only one way for a long time wearing this particular way. Original and when I wound it up it is keeping time and lever set. Sold as is for being a swiss watch no repair materials are available if should need any parts and I don't feel like making them or cleaning watches a lot anymore but when found in Indiana thought it might be great for a model railroader to have knowing a real railroad watch collector will just have little respect for it, but sure is pretty.
