Packard Bell Legend 1 286 Desktop Computer System

Lightning Fast 8mhz or 12 Mhz in Turbo mode 286 Processor

Has a huge 40 MB Seagate Hard drive as well as a 5 1/4 inch Floppy ( No way To Test )

and a 3 1/2 in Floppy that has a Blank disk in it and it seems to work fine.

Comes with Original mechanic Key Packard bell Keyboard as well as a Microsoft 9 pin mouse but I do not have the Dos mouse driver to test it.

Comes with the Samsung VGA Monitor seen in the Pictures but I do not no much more to tell you about it.  What you see is what ya get. If you decide to not take the monitor it will save at least 25.00 off the shipping.  I will only charge you what it cost to ship the parts you want and refund the difference of the paid shipping.

Has MS DOS 3.30 loaded on the Hard Drive and a couple other Dos based programs but it does not have and disks or documentation for any thing.  I will not erase the drive but make no promise about what is on it.

When I got this machine  the CMOS battery was dead because I had to press F2 and tell it type 21 hard drive and what kind of disk drives it has and the date and time as well.  So I'm sure that it needs the battery replaced.  When you turn it on it says the is a configuration error after it counts the memory up and I read a little about it.  Something to do with the extended memory but I don't pretend to have a clue about the old machines.  But after I went in to setting and set the few setting I knew and it rebooted it said there was a configuration error press F2 to enter setting or F1 to continue and I pressed f1 and it took me to dos prompt and every thing seemed to work great.  Some one will have to read up on setting up extended memory.  Apparently in the old days you had to put some kind of memory manager in there.

I am sell this as-is but do promise it to power on.  Please look at the pictures because there is no returns on this (to much shipping to move it around) so please make sure its what you want before you by it.

Considered keeping it cause its really cool.  It has word perfect on it and  a Game and a couple other programs that I won't erase but I will have to delete the files cause to old owner was a writer and they left some of there books on there or something.
