Honored Painter of Belarus, the famous painter - Robert  Landarsky.

Robert Landarsky was born April 1, 1936 in Gomel. His Grandfather was British artist Robert Swan , was a professor of Beaux Art of Sankt Petersburg and famous portrait painter in Royal court of Peterburg. During revolution he was killed , and his family move to Gomel, Belarus.

 Father of Robert Landarsky was led the suburban farm. In summer, during the holidays, the future artist after school enthusiastically worked with growers in rural areas. Therefore, the theme of rural life is not accidental in the artist. He studied the artist in the Gomel Art Institute, from which he graduated in 1958. In 1966 he graduated from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of Ilya Repin in Leningrad.

In 1979, Robert Landarsky was admitted to the Belarusian Union of Artists. In 2003 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Belarus. Robert Landarsky for many years was President  of Gomel Union of Artists. During his fruitful activity Robert Landarsky awarded the Medal of the Belarusian Union of Artists "For zaslugі in art" and Honorary Diploma of the Supreme Soviet of the Byelorussian SSR.

Artist never left his country, difficult to find his painting except in Museum. Robert Landarsky stopped to paint few years ago due to health problem
