I purchased this in February this year from a very reputable restorer, enthusiast and seller. He is active on the online forums as "benchdweller". I was after the best example I could find, and wanted to avoid a "frankenwatch". These watches, made up from donor parts, are very common on eBay, so please research thoroughly before buying any other watch.

This previous owner carried out a full overhaul as you can see from the photos

This watch is all original except for the hands, which are "new old stock" so they are 100% correct for the age of the watch.

The watch has been relumed to a very high standard, it keeps its glow throughout the night, as good as my seiko monster!

The watch functions perfectly, keeps good time (in practice it loses a few seconds a day, nothing unusual). The inner bezel turns well and the chrono resets snappily to the zero

I have worn the watch in rotation with others in a large collection, and it is time to thin things out a bit, as my main interest is in divers. It does get compliments when worn, it's very striking.

The crystal is in excellent order, as is the original stelux strap (see photo for length)

I think the watch dates from 1972 but please research the serial number and date code on the dial (the first digit= 2 indicates the year?)

The inner bezel has faded to grey from black, that's normal. You can get black replacements, but it was felt best to leave this watch as original as possible.

I don't think there is a better example of a silver pogue out there... I hope it goes to a really good home.

Royal Mail special delivery included in the buy it now price. Will be well wrapped and sent very quickly (same day or next day of auction end)
